Margaret is loved and will be missed by Sarah, Liz, Cathy and Tony, Tom and Judy and their families, and her many extended family and friends in the UK. A Funeral Service will take place at Sherborne Abbey on Monday 15th May, 2023 at 12.00 midday. Family flowers only please. Donations in memory of Margaret for Friends of Sherborne Abbey may be sent c/o A.J. Wakely & Sons, 16 Newland, Sherborne, DT9 3JQ.

Margaret was a wonderful friend, and a true inspiration. We went to Venice together in 2016 when Margaret was 'only' 89 and a half, and she wanted to see Venice again for the last time. She showed me parts of the city that I'd never visited, and she walked my legs off! Rest in Peace, Margaret, you were a very special person.

Margaret was an inspiration for us all as up until recently no day went by without a visit to Cheap Street wind, rain or snow never stopped this daily ritual. If I met her I always offered her a lift home.
